About Army's Transmissions

Located at 849 Forest Ave, Homestead, PA 15120, Army's Transmissions operates as an auto repair shop serving Homestead in Pennsylvania. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Auto repair in the United States is split between independent shops, dealership service departments and national chains. Independents handle most routine work (oil changes, brakes, tune-ups, check-engine diagnostics) at lower labor rates and often specialize in one make or in imports; dealers keep factory tools, software and warranty authority; chains sell speed and standard pricing on maintenance items. Most shops charge a diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair if you go ahead, and quote parts and labor separately. Certification matters: look for ASE-certified technicians and, in many states, a state repair license posted at the counter. Written estimates are required by law in most states before work begins, and you are entitled to your old parts if you ask.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. Typical hours are 7:30 am–4:30 pm. Note that it does not open on Saturday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (412) 462-3113. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.6 out of 5 from 111 reviews, which is a strong result for an auto repair shop in Homestead and suggests consistent service.

Homestead is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Homestead follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

My transmission failed on my 2014 Chevy Van 2 hours outside Pgh while towing a camper. Being in the automotive industry myself & after considering options, I knew no other shop would touch my trans but Army's. Had van towed home to get our pick up to continue trip. Towed to Army's on Mon. AM. Being a common trans problem on this model per Bruce & Andy, parts were available & my van was completed on Thurs AM. with a complete overhaul. Van shifted smooth and runs well. Andy communicated well on process & price was very fair. Always recommend Army's to our customers also. Thank you. You went above and beyond my expectations. Val

Wow, what kind and great service from Army. I had my car towed there after having transmission issues and they fixed the issue for a good price. But the best part about the customer service I got was over the phone with Bruce, who explained every step and fix along the way, and asked the right questions to get it taken care of…all done with a calming and caring demeanor. I hope I don’t have transmission issues in the future, but if I do I’m taking it to Army.

Army’s Transmission is a first class shop. Diagnosed the problem quickly and recommended a flush on my transmission. The flush eliminated my issues and saved me thousands of dollars I would have spent at other shops. I am 100% satisfied!!
